Artificial anus (colostomy)

During your stay in hospital, an enterostomal therapist will visit you to explain how this works and to reassure you. In fact this artificial anus which may at first appear as an insurmountable handicap, will, if used properly, allows you to lead a normal lifestyle. Every day you pass people in the street who have had a colostomy without you even realising it!
